Natalia Morreale (right) is making her debut as an illustrator with book 4 in the Princess Tessa & Luc the Duke book series, The Furry Christmas Miracle. She is 11 years old, enrolled in a middle school for the arts, and loves singing, karate, and animals of all kinds. She is shown with her co-illustrator (and mother!), Jackie Morreale.

Stories Inspired by Real Life Adventures

When I was little, I wanted a hamster, too. I went to this beach and there were shells everywhere. They were really pretty. I had the idea to collect them and sell them. We sold them online for a dollar. I raised enough money to get my own hamster, Leia.

A Love For Animals That Inspires Art

Natalia draws inspiration from her own first pet — a beloved hamster named Leia — infusing the illustrations with warmth, wonder, and childlike joy.
